Programs we offer

Associateship Training Programs

ACEM seeks to play a leading role in advancing emergency medicine for patients and doctors alike.

Foundational Emergency Medicine Training Program

This qualification is suited to and intended for PGY2+ doctors working as part of the team in an emergency department with senior assistance when needed.

Intermediate Emergency Medicine Training Program (IEMTP)

This qualification is suited to and intended for PGY2+ doctors working as part of the team in an emergency department and builds upon the knowledge and skills gained during the Foundational Emergency Medicine Training Program (FEMTP).

Advanced Emergency Medicine Training Program (AEMTP)

This qualification is suited to and intended for PGY3+ doctors working as part of the team in an emergency department as a senior decision maker, provides clinical support, and builds upon the knowledge and skills gained during the Associateship in Intermediate Emergency Medicine (IEMTP) .

Transition from FACEM Training

If you withdraw from the FACEM Training Program, you have the opportunity to receive recognition of prior learning for your training and complete either the ACEM Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC), Associateship in Intermediate Emergency Medicine or Associateship in Advanced Emergency Medicine.
